Championship Hack Day 27th April 2008

Official Hacks:
Good quality Hacks and Galloways.  Well educated.  Exciting to see some quality newcomers.
Champions/Reserves worked well, deserving of their ribbons.

Official Ponies:
I was very impressed with the presentation of the ponies and the professionalism of the riders.
Riders need to listen to the workout and make sure they understand it.  No judge minds repeating
the workout.
I enjoyed the day.  Thank you for asking me.

Working Hunters:
Congratulations on the holding of the Working Hunter classes.  I am sure the competitors
appreciated the opportunity to achieve a qualification for the Royal Show.
The standard of competitors in these classes continue to improve.

Unofficial Hacks:
Only a small amount of hacks, but the quality was fantastic.  The winners were very deserving
and the riders should be proud of their horses and all their hard work.
We were very lucky the rain held out.

Unofficial Ponies:
I really enjoyed judging the ponies, but I was disappointed that there were only three.
These three ponies are doing very well.  Thank you,

Open Hack Day 16th March 2008

Official Hacks:

Many smiling faces and some very lovely horses.  New hacks presented were of extremely good

quality with the Champion a very polished exhibit, and Reserve an exquisite newcomer.
The Galloways were evenly contended with the Champion a very sweet Riding Pony type, and
Reserve a beautifully presented exhibit that was a more horse type than the Riding Pony.
Thanks for inviting me to judge, it was a pleasure

Official Ponies:
Thank you to Perth Horse & Pony Club for a great day.
All of the competitors were a delight to judge.  My Champion Large Pony Hunter & Pony Hack is
a lovely pony and a pleasure to watch.
The other nice ponies lacked in education, but have the potential to improve.

Unofficial Hacks:
The Hacks were lovely and of very even quality.  There were only 2 galloways but both lovely.
The Walk/Trot classes were well attended and the Champion was a beautifully moving hack.
All the riders were very pleasant.
                                                                                                            Michelle Harris
Unofficial Ponies:
The standard today in the pony ring was excellent and the number of participants much improved.
In some classes there was very little between competitors, with the quality of workouts, turnout
and riding being very impressive.
