2007 Welcome!!!

Firstly I would like to say that the feedback from our first rally a few weeks ago has been

very positive and we would like to formally welcome all our new members and welcome

back all our previous members!!

This weekend is the afternoon rally at the Brigadoon cross country course starting

mounted at 1pm and there a few "house-keeping" issues that must be addressed.
Uniform is long sleeved polos for those who have them, or long sleeved blue shirts.
I will have some uniforms with me on the day.  Beige jodhpurs & neat appearance for
horse and rider with club saddle blankets, helmet covers if possible as many other clubs
may be on the grounds.  Its so much easier for us to identify you in our very flash uniforms!!

The main thing I'd like everyone to remember is that if your fees have not been paid (due to
insurance restrictions) you won't be allowed to ride this weekend.  Also, as yet it is not
compulsory to wear body protectors in pony club cross country, but it is for all open classes
and it will be very soon in Pony Club, so we highly recommend all riders having body
protectors.

We intend to meet at the grounds which are around the very back of the State Equestrian
Centre (just keep following the road behind the stables) before 1pm so we can have a mounted
start for 1pm.  We will do gear checking and run through some eventing rules, do some warm
up flatwork, then proceed to the course, which will be exclusively for us from 3pm until 5pm.
There will be 2 or possibly 3 groups, jumping at different levels.  Any queries please do not
hesitate to contact Denise, M'liss or Nell.

The rally program has March 18th for cross country at Brookleigh, however, as this
opportunity at Brigadoon arose prior to the Tetrathlon we have taken it and the March 18th
rally will be at the club grounds in Osborne Park, with Brookleigh possibly being held later in
the year - dates permitting!

Just a note for your horses - remember cross country can be quite gruelling and in fairness
to your mount please have them as fit as possible for the day.
Happy Riding!!!
