Showjumping is UNOFFICIAL and will be carried out under EWA & Perth Horse & Pony Club rules. Rider/Horse combinations will be allowed to compete in 2 consecutive height classes only on a competitive basis. Rider/Horse combinations may compete horsconcours (non competitively) in additional height classes. Events will be 45cm, 60cm, 75cm, 90cm and 1.05m. Any Rider/Horse combination which gains 3 1st places in any grade at consecutive open gymkhanas must go up to the next grade, they may still compete non-competitively in the lower grade as a warm-up round. Points in each Height Class will be added together to achieve the final total for each height class i.e. 6 showjumping scores at 45cm height NOT a combination of 45cm & 60cm. Rider/Horse combinations must attend a minimum of 2 events to qualify for the end of year Trophies. The Committees decision on placings is final. Points
will be allocated to 6th place:- In the event of a tie on the day of the nominated gymkhana, points are added together and shared between competitors e.g. 2 horses have equal 1st place scores, therefore 1st & 2nd place points are added together (6+5=11) and divided by 2, each rider/horse competitor gaining 1st place with 5.5 points each, the next rider/horse combination then takes 3rd place. In the event of 3 equal 1sts the result would be 6+5+4=15 divided by 3 = 3 rider/horse combinations equal 1st with 5 points each.
